The Week 2 top five
- Ohio State
- Georgia
- Indiana — up 2
- Texas — up 2
- Notre Dame — up 2
Ohio State and Georgia remain unchanged at the top, but the next three spots all moved after Week 1.
Texas climbs to No. 4
Texas moved from No. 6 to No. 4 after its 59–7 win over Texas State.
The ranking move is not based on the score alone. BOA’s weekly system is designed to ingest game results, performance context and updated team strength rather than simply rewarding the largest margin.
Texas’ postgame profile included 7.37 yards per play, an 87.1 offensive grade and a 96.8% Expected Win Share. That was enough to strengthen the Longhorns’ position nationally without automatically vaulting them over every team above them.
